My Projects

Since 2003, I have been providing services of consecutive interpreting at business meetings, interpreting for immigration applicants at consulates and translation of documents on a freelance basis.

 

The languages I work with are English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Interpretation for Business Meetings

  • Interpreted for the Second Master of “Harrow International School Bangkok” at his admission talk held in Hong Kong. 

  • Interpreted for the CFO of Taiwanese company “Concraft Precision Industrial Co. Ltd” at his business meeting in Hong Kong with potential investors, set up by UBS Bank. 

  • A three-day interpreting project assigned by Global Voices Translation Services (UK-based). I assisted a UK filming crew to interview three Chinese-speaking families in Hong Kong. The work included producing audio-descriptions for the interviews as well.

  • Consecutive interpreting at a one-day seminar titled “Mountain Top Marriages” delivered by two American marriage counsellors from the USA. 

  • Consecutive interpreting for senior executives of a UK-listed mining company at their business meeting with their counterparts of “Zijin Mining Group Ltd”, a listed company at Shanghai Stock Exchange (601899).

  • For two consecutive years, I provided consecutive interpreting in the 3-day-2-night "Pepsi APAC Conventions" held in HK, organized for Pepsi's employees. 

  • Frequent pro-bono services of SI interpreting provided at church meetings (English<>Cantonese; English<>Mandarin)

 

Interpretation for Immigration Applicants at Consulate General of Canada (Hong Kong)

  • Multiple cases of mainland Chinese visa interviews (Federal Self-employed Class)

  • Multiple cases of mainland Chinese visa interviews (Spousal Sponsorship Class)

 

Translation of Documents

  • Sworn Declaration for “Ontario Student Assistance Program” made by a Canadian-Chinese parent for his son in college. (Chinese > English)

  • Thirty-page products brochure (English>Chinese) of a new line of health supplements produced by the US-based direct-selling company Natural Health Trend Corporation (Nasdaq: NTHC). 

  • Translated and localized the US-version of “Company Policies” and “Distributor’s Compensation Plan” for NTHC Hong Kong office.  

  • Numerous articles (Chinese to English) appeared on PRC newspapers regarding the developments of China’s direct-selling industry and related news.  

  • Advertorials for Toni & Guy Hair Products (English > Chinese), an up-market chain of hair salons in Hong Kong.
